RadboudUMC boosts vitality through the Healthy Professionals program
Since 2017, RadboudUMC has been implementing the ‘Healthy Professionals’ program, with the ambition to offer every employee a guided lifestyle coaching journey—empowering them to experience and embody sustainable healthy behavior. This impact extends not only to patients, but also to colleagues and family members.
From nurses to board members, from secretaries to physicians—more than 1,200 employees have already participated, and the program continues to gain momentum.
18 months after completing the program, 69% of participants still feel more vital—both physically and mentally.
Kees van Laarhoven, department head:
“Our goal is to have 3,000 of our 10,000 employees complete the Healthy Professionals program. That’s the critical mass we need to truly shift behavior on an organizational level.”
“We rely on the enthusiasm of participants to invite their colleagues—and now we even have a waiting list! Our own professionals are involved in delivering the program. So far, we’ve trained about 1,200 employees, and the effects are long-lasting.”
